PBM team designed and built a solution to convert UG-40 DI to UG-40 MAS, thus extending its lifecycle.
The solution that took over the function of the obsolete electronic controller is placed in a small, electrical cabinet containing Woodward MAS (MiliAmp Speed setting) electronic driver box and other needed components. Proven hydraulic-mechanical reliability of the UG40D is kept, strengthened with the electronic reliability of the Woodward MAS electronic driver box.
This cost-effective, tailor-made solution shall enable the client to continue exploiting his asset further, without changing the hardware or fuel linkage. Photo shows the solution being tested on our governor test stand.
